About us
It all started when…
SCRiPT Lab was founded on March 25, 2026 in Toronto, Ontario by Boba Samuels, in collaboration with Michael Cournoyea and Marvin Lam. The lab was established to bring together people and research projects to create a collaborative research group, supporting and challenging each other to conduct impactful work.
SCRiPT Lab takes on a limited number of research projects each year and includes each project’s investigators as Research Associates for the duration of the project. All members of the lab contribute to all projects through regular discussion groups and presentations.
Joining us
To become a Research Associate of the Lab, individuals will:
As project leads, bring forward a feasible project that produces tangible research outputs.
Contribute to the development of other members as researchers and to their projects through participation in monthly meetings, offering feedback, ideas, and research support.
Negotiate authorship of research outputs and roles within each project based on contributions, with coordination by the project lead.
Applications for Research Associate status can be submitted through the application form and are reviewed by the Lab’s directors. The initial term of associateship is determined by the duration of the project brought forward.
You may contact us for more information about the Lab and the application process for becoming a Research Associate.
